Should teenagers always tell the truth to their parents?

I'm going to talk about telling lies to someone, in general.
On the one hand, telling lies is something very bad and awful. Teenagers tell lots of them because they think it's better than receiving a reprimand.
On the other hand, there are some things that we'd better not tell or say and we lie or we simply don't tell anything.
In my opinion, we shouldn't lie. At the same time, I think sometimes it is better to lie than tell the truth because you can hurt someone.

Should teenagers always tell their parents the truth?

In my opinion teenagers should sometimes tell their parents the truth because some things are not pleasant to tell to your parents because those things can be embarrassing.
On the one hand, you should tell your parents about your school marks and everything related to it. But you should tell them only what you want to say and you should not feel obliged to say everything.
On the other hand, parents shouldn´t oblige you to say the whole truth, but they should trust you .
In my opinion teenagers should tell the most important truths and hide the least important things.
