My hometown

Dear Elvira:

I'm going to talk about my hometown, O Porriño. Here, the people is friendly and everybody knows everybody.
Coren smells awful, but they will move to a different place very soon... Porriño is also a source of great athletes,there are handball and basketball players, footballers etc...
This is the hometown of a famous architect called Antonio Palacios, he designed great buildings in Madrid and in other places too.
Finally, porriño is a great party's place, so everybody likes it.

I´m writing because Iwould like to invite you to my house in porriño!

In my town there are a lot of parks,shops and cafeterias where you can play,walk,buy and eat. there is a pedestrian street next to the town council ,which was was built by Antonio Palacios.
The best monument is the sports centre (?).In Porriño people do a lot of sports, there are many handball and basketball players, footballers ,swimmers,tennis players,people that like gymnastics,skating...when you arrive here,you will see that porriño isn´t a bad town!

Dear Elvira:

Today, I'm going to talk about my town. Its name is Sanguiñeda.
Here there aren´t many people but it´s very nice. You can´t see any films because there aren´t any cinemas.
There are supermarkets ,discos,and also a coffe shop.
Altough there isn´t a shopping centre, you can have a good time in the sports centre or going to a football mach, altough, the Alerta is not a very good team.

Redondela !=D

Hi guys!
I 've lived in Porriño since 1987, but my home town is Redondela;my mother and all her family were born there.
Redondela is an old town,but I love it.
In Redondela there are some clothes shops and shoeshops a kiosk, two soccer fields, supermarkets and a market,but what I really like are its parks, its cafeterias and its beach!
My favourite park is 'La Alameda': There are two kiosks,a soccer field ,many plants and flowers, and a little river with ducks and little houses. Opposite 'La Alameda' is my favourite cafeteria:'Zeus'.There they make the best 'gofres'!
I also love other cafeterias/pubs. Its original name was 'The casino',but with the passage of time it changed its name.My grandmother was once managed this place, but now it is my aunt who does it.
'The casino' is a cafeteria during the day, but at night it turns into a place for the leisure of the young people.There,there are billiards, darts and other entertaining things.
And finally,the beach:Cesantes! I really love this place.It is my favorite place to walk, to have a coffee or go for a dip! (Though the marine current is very strong and sometimes it is a dangerous place).

It hasn't any cinemas but they are setting up many clotheshops and shoeshops too. Porriño has got a swimming pool,a library and a sports centre.We also have a slaughter house and a railway station. I like living in Porriño.

I'm going to talk about Galicia!Yeah,Galicia is a very interesting place,she's got lots of very beautiful beaches!with transparent but very cold water!=S

But appart from the beaches there are very fantastic cities too!=) Cities like Vigo or Pontevedra.However my favourite city is Santiago de Compostela because there are old places(like the cathedral) & new places (like the university).

What's more,Galicia has different "legends".For example: the legend about "A Santa Compaña",etc.

Galicia is an extremely pretty place to visit!

Dear friend:
I live in Porriño. A small village placed in the Northwest of Spain, it´s fifteen kilometres from Vigo. It´s the capital of the valley of the Louro. their main characteristcs are the industry and the mines.
The most important building is the town hall, built by Antonio Palacios between 1921 and 1924. What´s more, Antonio Palacios was a very important architect, who designed the Communication Palace in Madrid.
My favourite place is La Risca,a natural paradise altough I also like walking along the river(Louro).
However, I don´t like the pollution that we can find because of the industry.

Dear Sam,
How´s it going? I read your letter the other day, it´s great.
I live in Porriño, a town close to Vigo. It isn´t much of a town, there aren´t many things to do, so if you want to have fun you have to go to Vigo.
The stores are small, there aren´t cinemas, the only river it has is polluted. It isn´t a great place, the only good thing is that it isn´t crowded with people.

Hi! I´m going to tell you something about my hometown.
In Cans, there are mills, a small church, houses, lots of green areas and the mountain of the castle.
It´s in the countryside. It´s very peaceful except for the noise of the cars.
I love it because it´s the place I live in. There isn´t a lot of people, but it is very beautiful because there are many beautiful places.

It's a small city, and there aren't any cinemas or shopping centres, but it isn't a problem because Vigo is near Porriño.
The town-hall was built by Antonio Palacios, a very important architect. There is a Cultural Centre, too. There, you can surf the internet, read, see exhibitions...
There is something that I love.. THE SPORTS CENTRE!!There I play basketball and I enjoy a lot.
I have lots of friends, although we're sometimes bored, so we go to other places..
I like living here because I love small cities, where there are few people.However, the only problem is Coren, because it hardly ever smells good!!

Do you know my town?

Hi Elvira!!
Well, I don't know how to start =). My town's name is Mos. It isn't a big city, but I love it. Where I live there aren't lots of buildings or shops, I live in the country. The most famous building in my town is the sports centre, it is called Oscar Pereiro, like the famous cyclist. He lives in Mos too, and I know him.
I like living here because you can hear the birds and cars don't disturb you. There's something that I hate, I live very near the airport and the planes are very noisy =S. However I, wouldn't change my town.
I'm sorry but I don't have any photo of it.

ohellooo! I haven't had time to write before because I was in Valencia and in Oviedo I had a really good time And then I went back to school well.. here I am, This is my letter:

Dear Elvira:

Thanks for this blog I hope the students keep on writing. My hometown..it is not very cool, it is an ordinary town.

Its most important monuments are the council, which was designed by Antonio Palacios. What's more, he designed Madrid underground gate which is now in one park of Porriño.
There is a library where you can study and where you can surf the net

Now they made a pedestrian street and the people can go for a walk there.

There is a high school, a school, a swimming-pool and a sports centre too. It's great because all of them are in the same .

However, I would like to live in a different place because I like big cities like vigo, they have a lot of advantages

In Porriño you can see a historic town-hall that was designed by Antonio Palacios, a very important architect there ; the Risca, it is a mountain placed at the zone of Gulpilleira.

In my town you can go to the Louro river but it´s very polluted; there are also some shops where you can buy very interesting things. I live in Porriño and I like it.

Dear Elvira:

My hometown is Porriño, it's a small town. In Porriño center there is a mineral museum and if you turn left and go straight on it`s the town hall. In the mineral museum, go straithg on and turn right and the train station is there.

There are a lot of restaurants and there are also a lot of discos, but there aren't any cinemas.

I like living here because I've got many friends, altough I would like to have more clothing store, cinema and a shopping center. What's more, in Porriño I've got all my family that I love it very much !!!

mY weekenD..

It Wasn't a really interesting weekend.The most imoprtant thing was that I Saw Minervita..a really perfect Girl!yeahh!she's an extraordinary girl!in an ordinary world..

so Lucia Elena Clau Minerva &me went to viGo..and we walked a lot =S..then,we came to Porriño..well..to Mos,to my new House..to had dinner and go to Porriño.

On Sunday..mm..we got up at..I don't know exactly the time but I think that we got up at 12.30 more or less..and Minerva and Lu left my home..

In the afternoon I studied to an exam that I failed..=S..yes,maths..I hate them!!they're very boring..=P

and that was my "interesting" weekend..

This is a vid of my favourite group, it´s awesome and shows the hard things that kids have to pass through, and we complain about are "hard" lives. If you noticed at the end of the vid, with the objects they throug they spell fare trade, my name. It means "intercambio justo", like saying that this injustice should be, at least, tried to be stoped, and not pass like if nothing.

This weekend I went to ourense for a meal.
On saturday I went to my cousin's house, at the night we saw "The Orphanage" and ate chocolate xD.
Next day my sister and me retourned to our house an I studied in the afternoon for english and maths!!:)

My Last Weekend!!=)

I'm going to tell you what I did last Saturday =)

First I went to see the niñas' basketball match in Vigo. Then I went to the bowling alley with Anto, Clau, Helena and Elena, we had a great time there but I lost =S. After that we went to Antonella's to preparate ourselves and we went out in Porriño. There we danced a lot and we didn't want to come back, =P. Finally we slept at Anto's and we got up at... well I don't remember very well, xD!!
